The DoDD 8570 provides guidance and procedures for the training, certification, and management of these individuals.
DoDD 8140: (Department of Defense Directive 8140) mandates the implementation of a compliance framework adapted from the National Institutes of Standards and Technology (NIST) National Initiative for Cyber Education (NICE). The U.S. Department of Defense made sure to focus on the proper level of education would be given to their cyber workforce.
