The Computer Workshop partners with large credentials like CompTIA and Mile2 to provide DoD Directive training and certification.
DoDD 8570: (Department of Defense Directive 8570) requires all government employees who conduct Information Assurance functions to carry an approved certification for their particular job classification. The DoDD 8570 provides guidance and procedures for the training, certification, and management of these individuals.
DoDD 8140: (Department of Defense Directive 8140) mandates the implementation of a compliance framework adapted from the National Institutes of Standards and Technology (NIST) National Initiative for Cyber Education (NICE). The U.S. Department of Defense made sure to focus that the proper level of education would be given to their cyber workforce.
Understanding NIST, NICE, NICCS
NIST sets national standards for all types of technology and emerging technology.
NICE has developed a blueprint that shapes the way educators, students, and employers talk about cybersecurity.
NICCS connects prospective students, educators and employers to cybersecurity training that has been mapped to the NICE Workforce Framework.
